    Chalk-Slate’s memory is old
Its story is related to childhood

    Like Chalk, the teacher
    Finished themself
By shedding the Ganges of knowledge
    Made us a good person

    Have reconciled knowledge
    On our slate like mind
    How can one forget
On the immense love of the Guru

    Seeing the same chalk-slate again
    Freshens up forgotten memories
    Could not stop my heart
    So expressed my thoughts

    Chalk-Slate’s memory is old
Its story is related to childhood

Thank you so much for submitting your poem for consideration as Featured Poem of the Week.  I loved your concept – the memory is one that touches us all, I think.  Perhaps we have a memory of something different from childhood, but your poem will stir that memory – and touching people, moving people is what poetry is all about.  Good  job!  – Susan
