I still haven’t known you enough

I know I run to you when i stumble upon a hitch

And you always serve beautiful solutions in decorated platters

But how come you don’t come and crib about something similar?

I don’t know if you are a particular brand of mousy or a cringe

I don’t know if you like sugar, honey, tea or something more sweet, totally unhinged

I don’t know if you like reading poetry anthalogies, fictional stories or binge watch web series

I don’t know if you like decorating your room, fill dandelions with our memories

I don’t know if you like the color white, black or grey

Would you like your wall painted blue by me?

Color of the sky, color of the sea

Maybe you are old fashioned, the one which people treasure

Or maybe you are secretly romantic, dreaming about our 80s together

Sometimes you choose from ‘Aap’, ‘Tum’ and ‘Tu’

And the other moment you jump to ‘Bruh’

    You never tell me

If you also have a list of heartbreaks and silent cries

Lying pseudo promises and notes of goodbyes

And if your dreams go on a curfew just like mine

I am trying hard to listen

    But cannot hear anything

    I’m telling

I still haven’t known you enough!
