Sorrow is a dark well, out of which you can’t seem to escape,

one filled with dangerous, murky water and no light at the end.

Very dark and emotional – and I do like the image of the well.  However, I’m wondering about the “well” consuming all of your from within.”  A well might drown you or prevent you from escaping but, consuming you from within seems a stretch.  I wonder if you might rethink how your image works – and perhaps come up with something more in keeping with the theme of “well.”  In any event, your piece is well written and I would love to see it again, if you decide to rework it.  Your friend in poetry, Susan
