Poetry Talk

Thank you for submitting your poem for consideration for Featured Poem of the Month for July.  There is emotion and an awareness that language plays such an important part in the process of creating poetry.  I particularly liked “Somewhere deep rises a dark fog” and “like an invisible string of a kite.”  I once had a teacher advise me to “write up to the strongest part of your poem.”  You have some very strong parts to your poem, and I would love to see you “write up to them!”  I am grateful you chose to share your poem with me, Susan
