New reply from Susan Katz

Lovely poem – with a classical feel to it. Your language and syntax, all suggest you are a fan (and scholar) of classic poetry. Thank you so much for sharing and for submitting your poem for consideration for Featured Poem of the Month. – Susan

THE SKY CONNECTS US, THE MOUNTAINS VEIL. – JWALIT (JALA) PANCHAL

The sky connects us, the mountains they

veil,

that which fills my heart, and my tongue seldom

reveals;

but nature is an ally, in all its forms, as it

produces-

the bird-chirrups, the summer-bees spell my heart’s

music.

So, lass! listen keen, midst their buzz, betwixt their

flaps,

or even in the trembling leaves, passing breeze you can

grasp-

in what two birds, they converse, sitting on a bright

perch

you will find there, the words for my hearty

touch.

So, lass! close thine eyes, and come closer, they will

whisper,

for the tongue of nature is, than a man’s, much

crisper;

so, the subject that fills my heart, and my tongue seldom

reveals

is contained in this sky, in these mountain-slopes that

veil.
