New reply from Susan Katz

Lovely, lyrical and paints a wonderfully vivid picture of sunflowers. I would, if you agree, like to share just the last stanza as one of my featured poems on the poetladykatz Instagram page, sometime in the next two weeks. I think it speaks for itself and I am only featuring short, 2 to four line poems – so even just the one stanza is a bit long, but I find it very warm and inviting and poetic. Thank you so very much for sharing this delightful poem with me. Your friend in poetry, Susan

Sunflowers

Fields have been blessed again,

With heavy showers of rain

Once again they bloom,

To spread across a vibe.

With colour so vibrant,

Together when they swing

They sometimes move left,

And sometimes towards right.

In silence as I walk through,

Each of them in turn

Gazing at the sky,

Where the sun shines bright.

As I observe their faces,

Their innocence agreed

In that very moment,

Rejuvenates my eyes.

In synch with the cool breeze,

A symphony is played

Buzzing in the morning,

When creeps in sunlight.

I follow their leads now,

And throughout the day

I enjoy the company,

Of bees and butterflies.
