Not alone anymore

[Ryukendu1864]

It turns out

You never knew,

The stars had a flavour,

Until you first kissed him.

It turns out

They tastes like ambition and ancient fire,

Desperation and self destruction,

Determination and dark matter,

and the mind-numbing fear,

of being left,

Alone,

Again.

Thank you for this short, but beautifully written poem.  I very much appreciate you sending it to be considered for Featured Poem of the Week.  Have a lovely day, Susan
