Welcome to my Poet Lady Chat Room. I would like to invite you to click on the chat box and type in a question, a suggestion, submit a poem, in other words – “chat with me.” I may, if you submit a poem, decide to feature it in my Poem of the Week section or, we may simply exchange ideas and suggestions about your poem.

This is a place to “talk” poetry with someone who has loved it all her life. I have a true passion for the possibilities of poetry and would love to hear your thoughts and/or read your poem. I will be happy to offer my reaction to your work and, based on over 40 years of teaching poetry, organizing, and conducting poetry workshops, working as a book review editor for an international poetry magazine, authoring five books of poetry and two textbooks on teaching poetry, send along my thoughts on ways to make your poem stronger and more impactful.

If you’re on my site, you have a connection to poetry. Feel free to connect with me – right here -right now, by typing your message into the “chat box” and clicking send. I’m waiting…

Hy moon you are king and your love is queen,

You have given a huge palace to your queen;

Thy head is shining with star's crown,

You are truly crazy in love;you can rob the world,

Your love that veils thy stain,

The watcher only sees the moonlight.

You steal the sun's light for the moonlight.

Both are incomplete without each other,

You are a witness to love,

Everyone sees your love in your face.

How lucky and clever you are,

Enjoy the view that no one can see.

Hide in the clouds and see Lovebirds,

And steals the drops of love and gives them to the moonlight,

You get so immersed in the love of moonlight;

Start melting and falling on the earth.

I have seen millions of lover but never seen like you,

Teaches the world how to forget yourself in love,

Bathe the night with your love,

Your love touches horizon in night.

Thank you so much for sharing your "love-filled" poem with me.  I can feel the intensity and passion with which you embraced your subject.  I will consider your poem, along with the many, many others that have been submitted for consideration, for Featured Poem of the Month for July.  I will be announcing my decision, the last week of June. - Susan
