New reply from Susan Katz

Thank you for sharing this personal insight with me. I would have liked to have seen an image for "controlling your mind" – such as "containing it between the covers of a book" or for "(in) surging thoughts" like "the tide engulfing the sand" – or "Worried" like "leaves tormented by the breeze." We need to see, hear, taste, touch, smell the images that make a poem, a poem. I very much like what you are saying and do believe you could turn this into a very fine poem, with some attention to the techniques that make poetry, poetry, – Susan

Peace

When I can't control my mind, there is no peace that I can find.

With insurging thoughts, I am worried and my stomach is tied in knots.
